Counter-investigations and civil gaze: from investigative journalism to documentary cinema

La Gaîté Lyrique – 14th & 15th December 2023

OSINT stands for “Open Source Intelligence”: a new form of journalism is being invented, combining investigative reporting, documentary filmmaking and artistic and activist spheres. Rendez-vous at the Gaîté Lyrique to lay the foundations.

Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) has become an (audio)visual part of our daily lives. Whether documenting the advance of Russian tanks during the invasion of Ukraine, denouncing police or state violence, bearing witness to climate crimes, these productions are multiplying and reaching an ever-growing audience. For this festival, the associations Open Facto and Après les Réseaux Sociaux propose to reflect on the circulation of this type of investigation between investigative journalism, documentary cinema and the artistic and activist spheres.

Festival organised by Allan Deneuville, Jacopo Rasmi, Liselotte Mas, Sebastien Bourdon and myself / After Social Networks and Open facto.
